  • Do you have a research protocol, an approved ethics application and approved administrative approval? (Operational approval may also be required if the research involves an AHS or Covenant site).

    Do you want to meet with the NAPCReN Team to discuss your research idea and brainstorm how NAPCReN can help? Do you need Research Coordinator support? We can meet with you in the early stages, before a protocol has been written, to discuss your research idea.

  • Are you unsure if your idea is actually quality improvement?

    Depending on your idea, you may or may not need ethics approval or a waiver letter. A document outlining ‘Guidelines for Differentiating among Research, Program Evaluation and Quality Improvement’ may help direct you. If you would like to confer with the Ethics Board, please complete this form - Request a Determination of Ethics Review. Please note that a Google-based email address is required to complete the form.

    We recommend that your discuss your QI idea with the NAPCReN team. NAPCReN has expertise in quality improvement and can direct and support you in the early stages of the project.
